MIND, SET, GROW!
Mind, Set, Grow! A youth development after school program that encourages children to utilize their gifts and talents to innovate new ideas to produce more thriving communities and use their imagination and creative force to bring forth change in hopes of a better world. To ensure that children succeed and prosper in the thing that they were born to do, It is our duty to create an environment for children to flourish and lead them on a path to greatness.
GIFTED & PURPOSED
Here at Pennies to the Poor Foundation Inc., we are passionately working together to achieve excellence in communities of color. With our children, destiny and future in mind, we are making change in the most unprecedented way.
We are introducing Mind, Set, Grow! A pilot project constructed with a new Academic Curriculum designed to assist in attaining higher level achievements with the ultimate goal of reaching high aspirations, self-realization, and to know one's value, place, and purpose in the earth. Creating a sense of belonging and self worth will give children the courage and confidence they need to dominate in their place of purpose and heighten the probability of achieving excellence, pursuing purpose and attaining the American Dream. ​We recognize that feeling a sense of belonging begins with acknowledging your gifts and figuring out how to use those gifts to serve a higher purpose.

Envision a future where purpose is man's primary focus. Everyone knows their gifts & talents, and everyone knows their place & purpose. Everyone embraces and accepts their gifts and are not envious of other people's gifts because they know that they are gifted to fulfill their own purpose. Everyone knows that no gift is greater than the other but all gifts are equally important. Everyone knows that it is their gifts that makes room for them on the earth. It is your gifts that authorizes you to claim your status and take your rightful place in your community. It is your gifts that enables you to fulfill your purpose. It is your gifts that gives you the license and legal authority to dominate in the thing you were born to do. If more people were operating in their purpose, we believe that crime rates will go down tremendously. This would be a comprehensive approach to crime prevention.

Educating children about environmental issues and empowering them to take action against climate change is a fantastic way to foster a sense of obligation and responsibility.

For every kid who wants to make a difference to protect the planet, Mind, Set, Grow!, introduces a fun and educational Initiative called Climate Action Superheros. The United Nations created this initiative to engage, educate, and empower a younger audience of 12 years and under on how to take care of their environment and limit global warming. Empowering the next generation is a comprehensive approach to addressing environmental and climate issues attached to global challenges, systemic racism, climate change and socioeconomic disparites.
