MOVEMENT

PENNIES TO THE POOR FOUNDATION INC. IS PROVOKING CHANGE IN COMMUNITIES OF COLOR BY STIMULATING GROWTH AND DEVELOPEMENT IN AREAS THAT LACK THE NECESSARY ATTENTION, MATERIAL, CAPITAL, AND RESOURCES TO CREATE  A THRIVING ENVIRONMENT FOR COMMUNITY MEMBERS TO FLOURISH AND PROSPER.  TAKING UP FAMILY INITIATIVES IS A COMPREHENSIVE APPROACH TO FIXING COMMUNITIES BECAUSE WE KNOW THAT BROKEN COMMUNITIES IS A RESULT OF BROKEN FAMILIES. INVESTING IN FAMILIES AND COMMUNITIES WILL EMPOWER THE PEOPLE AND STRENGTHEN THE HEART OF NEIGHBORHOODS THAT WILL ULTIMATELY PRESERVE THE PEOPLE, THEIR PURPOSE,  AND THE PLANET.

CONNECTING PEOPLE'S PURPOSE WITH THE PLANET

Our dedication to supporting Sustainable Development intertwines with our efforts to alleviate poverty while preserving the People, the Planet, and the Purpose of both. We envision a  sustainable future where purpose is man's primary focus. A future where  people of all races and ethnicities have equal opportunities and are treated fairly regardless of racial identity. A future where every person is free to live in dignity, being able to carry out their human right to pursue their goals and aspirations to reach their highest potential without the constraints of poverty, prejudice and violence.

First things first

THIS IS WHAT WE KNOW...

We know that systemic racism perpetuates persistent poverty and prevents people that are living in black and brown communities from reaching their highest potential, accessing good quality education, access to  nutritious foods, obtaining high paying jobs "with benefits", and economic resources to be able to pull themselves out of poverty.

We know that black and brown communities are disproportionately affected by climate change, energy, economic, environmental and social injustices.

We know that because of financial burdens, children and families are forced to make unhealthy choices while juggling bills like electricity, water bills, phone bills etc., to see what they can do without.

We know that unhealthy food choices is a result of not having enough healthy choices to choose from, lack of knowledge of good nutrition, and not having reliable transportation to travel outside food deserts because of financial burdens.

We know that broken communities is a result of underinvestment, broken families and government neglection.

We know that black and brown communities are victimized by crime, drug infestation, domestic, and gun violence because of poverty (people are desperate).

We know that health conditions are  exacerbated by climate change, environmental hazards, social determinants of health, and systemic racism, that causes higher rates of stress and anxiety in Black and Latino neighborhoods.

Black and brown communities disproportionately suffer from health harms, food insecurities, and respiratory  illnesses caused by pollution, mental health challenges, not having enough opportunities and resources resulting in less education, economic hardships, housing instability, all resulting in shorter life spans.

We know that a high percentage of crime and gun violence is a result of poverty. Because of systemic racism some black and brown men resulted to drug dealing to  survive and take care of their families.

We know that it's not genetics, to a significant degree, your health is dependent on your zip code, as it reflects the social determinants of health like access to quality healthcare, education, healthy food, housing, and environmental factors within your community.

We know that welfare (although is a good "stepping stone") keeps black and brown families under the poverty line.

We know that if we don't take action now, our children and future generations will only be a product of these injustices.

We know that all these factors prevent children and families from reaching their highest potential and lowers their chances of attaining the American Dream.

The list goes on...

CLIMBING THE SOCIOECONOMIC LADDER

Economic opportunity and upward mobility are two vital important concepts that creates the notion that in order to improve one's economic and social status, economic opportunities such as resources, employment, capital, education for higher learning, training programs, affordable housing and affordable clean energy, all has to be available and accessible to enable people to pursue their goals, dreams and aspirations. To achieve economic success, both economic opportunity and upward mobility are dependent on investing in human and social capital to improve one's socio-economic status.

We believe that there is a high calling on every person's life but there is a great many people that are struggling to rise above poverty lines to a place of financial freedom. PTTP Foundation Inc. is dedicated to uplifting people living below their high calling, to a place of power and financial security. It is a matter of claiming their status as a citizen and claiming their rightful position in their community. We also believe in human dignity, that all of humanity stores a special unique potential that lays dormant until passion is sparked, hence, activated by revelation of one's built-in purpose. Everyone deserves an opportunity to live a healthy productive life in terms of achieving health, wellness, and highest potential. It's a human right to seek out prosperity and live your best life while operating at the highest level of potential. Without resources and opportunities, chances are they will never reach higher levels of potential,  income, wealth, education, health and well-being.
